Ventura River Aerial Mapping

Client: Ventura Hillsides Conservancy

walls land+water was contracted by the Ventura Hillsides Conservancy to create high-resolution orthophotographs of the Ventura River at its mouth to the Pacific Ocean. The purpose was to monitor non-native vegetation maintanance being conducted by the organization. Imagery was captured with a high-resolution camera fixed to an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Hundreds of images were stitched together in desktop software, georeferenced and orthorectified in a geographic information system (GIS), a delivered to the client in a high-resolution image.
